Outersanctum
Frequencies From The Edge Of The Tektonic Plate

This is quite a tripped out release! It's fabulous in fact. This type of music is what you might term as "timeless." Some of you would term the sounds here as "ambient-trance" I believe, as most of the tracks exhibit fast pulsing beats, broad sweeping waves of ambient textures in the background, and some have vocals &/or sampling of such layered within the work. What is really nice about this release, it's not one of those 'in your face i can only hear this for a short period of time' type of thing, but it's has a more 'laid back - chill out' type of effect and is not in the least bit borning in terms of redundancy. Some of it is somewhat dream-trippy in style ("Lykphreek", "Pulsation", "Timekompress", "Aetherius" ), while others are a bit more definitive and lean more to a militant/tranceffective dance beat ("Neurospora Isolates", "LSDemention", "Stroboscopik"), and there are a few of just plain whacked furturistic sounds of modulebleepmelody electro- bassbeats backed by melodic undertones ("Injektor", "Will I Dream", "Which Way To Forever"). "Sensor *E*OD"Ê is an unusual track enlisting sounds like that of a gull calling, incredible percussion that is layered with a fast beat over slow beats leaving it a great dance tune.

Overall, Outsanctum is a promising release for those of you who DJ be it in a dance club or radio. It is also a fine release for chiling out with friends. Keep it turned down or cranked up loud, these fine artists should be heard!
